What if we hired SpaceX and NASA to go and ignite Jupiter into a 2nd Sun? "WTF"
That's what I said, until I came up with the story that resulted in this book. It's all about the next 1,000 years or sooner in which the Earth gets a 2nd sun in the sky. And, yes, I came up with this crazy idea while looking up at the stars and wondering how hard it would be to make one.
Then, it hit me because Jupiter was very bright and directly overhead, the first time it was this close in 69 years.
I could hear the Gas Giant actually screaming at me - desperate to be turned into a sun, the 2nd sun in our sky. It has been patiently waiting for four billion years and it knows that we have the ability now to do it for her.
IGNITE the hydrogen deep inside Jupiter's atmosphere to start a fusion chain reaction - that's it. We can send SpaceX and NASA in a few short years and . . .
Solve our entire energy crisis - and most of our other problems - OVERNIGHT.
